The Peach Standard · The Request

Define the matter

A useful coverage decision starts with a precise description of the proceeding, the role counsel must perform, and the time available to prepare.

The complete handoff

Where this stage sits in the process.

Purpose

Why this stage matters.

This stage lets Peach identify the matter, test basic fit, understand urgency, and determine what information is needed for a responsible review. A request is an inquiry—not confirmation of representation.

What the requesting firm should provide

  • Names of all parties, law firms, known witnesses, and related entities for conflict screening
  • Court, county, case number, assigned judge, proceeding type, date, time, and expected duration
  • Party represented, requested role, material issues, and specific objectives
  • Experience or practice-area knowledge the assignment requires
  • Known deadlines, remote or in-person status, travel needs, and urgency
  • A nonconfidential summary only until secure-transfer instructions are provided

Questions Peach must resolve

  • Is the matter within Georgia and within the services Peach evaluates?
  • Is enough preparation time reasonably available?
  • Does the requested role appear capable of being defined as a limited engagement?

Coverage with command
